Bhubaneswar: Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar (IIT Bhubaneswar), Odisha, will organize its first annual convocation ceremony on August 31, 2012 (Friday), at its auditorium. Degrees will be awarded at the Convocation to all graduating students either in person or in absentia.
As per the notification issued by the Institute, students who want to receive the Degree in person at convocation are requested to complete the prescribed format of registration online available at the Institute’s official link: http://www.iitbbs.ac.in/convocation/, by August 20, 2012.
In addition, the convocation fee is Rs 1000 for candidates receiving the Degree in person and Rs 1500 for candidates receiving the Degree in absentia. The fee (as applicable) should be paid in the form of DD drawn in favour of lIT Bhubaneswar, payable at Bhubaneswar. After successfully submitting the online application, one must take a printout of the same.
The completed online registration form and DD should be sent to the Officer-on-Special Duty (Academics), Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar, Toshali Bhawan, Satya Nagar, Bhubaneswar - 751 007, latest by August 25, 2012. Moreover, those degree recipients who opt for 'in absentia' also need to send the requisite DD along with prescribed form to the same.
