Kanpur: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur will conduct Advance JEE 2013 examination on June 2, 2013. The examination will be held for admission into India’s eminent engineering institutions, which include IITs, IT-BHU (Institute of Technology - Banaras Hindu University) and ISM Dhanbad (Indian School of Mines).
As per sources, the date was announced after the meeting of Joint Admission Board (JAB) held in Delhi recently. During the meeting, JAB also accepted the percentile formula presented by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Government of India, for conducting the JEE-2013.
After the induction of the new format, IIT - JEE aspirants will have to appear in a screening test and those who qualify the screening test will be given an opportunity to sit in the Advance JEE. The test will be conducted in two shifts, on the same lines as conducted last year. Each shift will be of three hours duration. The test format has been designed by IIT Delhi and will judge candidates’ knowledge in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
