Jammu University BVA / B Mus Programme Admission 2012

Jammu: University of Jammu, also known as Jammu University, has announced admission into four year BVA (Bachelor of Visual Arts) / B Mus (Bachelor of Music) programme, to be offered in the below mentioned streams at the Institute of Music and Fine Arts, Poonch House, Talab Tillo, Jammu in the ensuing session 2012. Selection will be made on the basis of entrance test merit followed by interview, conducted by the University.
 
As per the notification issued by the University, BVA programme will be offered in various disciplines such as, Art History & Aesthetics, Applied Art, Painting, and Sculpture. However, B Music will be offered in Dance (Kathak), Sitar, Tabla, Violin, Vocal disciplines.
 
Aspirants who have successfully cleared HSC Part II of the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto are eligible to apply. Admission process will start from July 16, 2012 and will end on July 22, 2012. After the stipulated date, admission will be offered by the principal of the Institute of Music and Fine Arts on payment of late fee of Rs 200 (till August 1, 2012) and Rs 300 (after August 1, 2012 to till August 11, 2012).
 
After the lapse of the final deadline, admission may be offered by the Vice Chancellor of the University on payment of Rs 1480. Candidates, whose parents’ income is Rs 3300 or below, are exempted from paying the aforesaid late fee for admission. As per the notification issued by the University, admission formalities will be carried out even on holidays or vacations and classes will commence immediately after the admission.
