Bangalore: Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA), Karnataka, has extended the last date for submission of applications for admission into Diploma (One - year) Diploma in Engineering / Non - Engineering programmes for session 2012, till June 12, 2012. Earlier, the last date of submission was June 5, 2012.
The programme will be offered in the following streams at government and aided polytechnics of Karnataka state. Diploma in Engineering Programme Streams: Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Sound Recording & Cinematography & Diploma in Non-Engineering Programme Streams: Commercial Practice and Apparel Design & Fabrication Technology & Library Science and Information Management / Business Administration.
Admission will be made through “Centralized Counseling” process, to be conducted at Karnataka Education Authority, 18th Cross, Malleshwaram, Bangalore, Karnataka - 560 012. However, only Karnataka and Horanadu / Gadinadu Kannadigas residents are eligible to apply. Interested candidates may obtain the application form and information brochure from any of the Government Polytechnics / Document Verification Centers (list of name along with respective addresses given on the official website of KEA: http://kea.kar.nic.in/)
In addition, candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs 100 (Rs 50 for SC / ST candidates) in favour of The Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore”, bearing A/C No- 64097386381, through “Bank Challan”. Applicants can download the Bank Challan from the official website of KEA and deposit the fee as per above at any branch of State Bank of Mysore across India.
The duly filled-in application form complete in all respect along with all requisite documents (as given in the prospectus) should be submitted to any of the Government Polytechnics / Document Verification Centres, latest by June 12, 2012 (up to 5.00 pm).
