Punjabi University Introduces PG Diploma in Multimedia Applications

Patiala: Punjabi University, Patiala, Punjab, has launched a new PG (Post Graduate) Diploma course in Multimedia Applications. As per sources, this new course has been introduced in the University’s Centre for Advanced Media Studies (CAMS). Moreover, the course is being offered in the current academic session 2012-13 in addition to the existing B Tech course in TV, Film Production and Media Technology.
 
Explaining about the newly introduced course, Dr S S Khehra, Dean, Academic Affairs, said that the decision of launching this new course has been taken keeping in view the ever-growing demand in the fields of Multimedia and TV & Film Production. In addition, the course will also help offsetting the trend of charging exorbitant fees by mushrooming private academies and institutions with relatively little infrastructure and less competent trainers, he added.
 
CAMS have acquired all the latest and high-end equipment with best infrastructure and highly professional teachers and professionals to train the students to get most lucrative jobs. Punjabi University was established in 1962 under the Punjabi University Act 1961 in the state of Patiala as Residential and Teaching University. It is one of the leading universities of higher education in the state of Punjab. It has been awarded an 'A' grade university by National Accreditation and Assessment Council, (NAAC), Bangalore.
