Anna University Invites to Register for One Week Workshop on Cloud Computing Commencing From June 24

Anna University, Department Of Information Science And Technology, will organize a one week Workshop on Cloud Computing scheduled to commence from June 24 to June 30, 2013. Interested candidates are invited to register for the workshop. The last date of registration will close on June 20, 2013.

The registration will be done on first come first serve basis as limited seats are available. Therefore, early registration is recommended for interested candidates. The selected participants will be intimated through E-mail.
The registration fees include workshop kit, presentation materials, certificate of participation, lunch and refreshment for seven days.
Industry Delegates: Rs 7000
Faculty/Research Scholars/Students: Rs 5000

Thereafter, the duly filled in registration form should be submitted with the DD to coordinator on or before the last date mentioned. The registration fee to be paid in the form of DD drawn in favor of “HOD, Department of Information Science and Technology, Anna University, Chennai” payable at Chennai.

The main theme of the workshop will be to educate that with advances in internet there is also a need to learn client-server architectures, distributed computing and web services. The latest technology cloud computing has brought computing power within reach of every organization. Cloud computing involves over the internet provision of dynamically scalable and often virtualized resources. These distributed service models are necessary to meet the growing need for real time as well as best effort IPservices. This workshop intends to covers opensource cloud tools like Eucalyptus, Open Nebula, Open Stack and simulator CloudSim. It will offer extensive demonstrations and hands-on lab sessions are provided for gaining practical experience in implementing the above mentioned open source technologies.
