Mumbai: Common Admission Test 2013 for admissions into Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other b-schools will be conducted from October 16, 2013 to November 11, 2013. Moreover, students can choose any window during the period.
Sources have informed that, this year, four new locations, Surat, Udaipur, Trivandrum and Vijayawada, have been added to the existing 36 locations. Prometric India will conduct the exams on behalf of the IIMs and IIM-Indore will organize the tests. Convenor of CAT this year Rohit Kapoor has said that the paper would be divided in two sections as usual. CAT 2013 vouchers would be made available at selected Axis Bank branches from July 29 to September 24. Mr Kapoor has informed that the registration window would be open from July 29 to September 26, 2013.
Furthermore, in the press release CAT 2013 Convener Rohit Kapoor has said that CAT is one of most esteemed management entrance examination of the country for admissions into the Indian Institutes of Management as well as other top-most management institutes. He added that getting to know the dates well in advance of the registration and testing window will enable candidates to prepare better for a successful future.
The CAT 2012, has witnessed the selling of 2.14 lac vouchers and the number of registrations was 9,000 more than the previous year.
