Delhi University FYUP First Cut Off is likely to be Announced by June 27

New Delhi: Delhi University (DU) has set the schedule for releasing cut off lists for admission to its Four Year Undergraduate Programmes (FYUP). The first cut off list is going to be announced on June 27, 2013. Owing to a huge number of applications this year, the cut offs are likely to be higher than last year.

As per sources, the university has already received about 1.7 lakh applications till date. Whereas, DU received only 1.4 lakh applications, last year. In comparison of last year statistics, the university has already received 21 percent more applications. The university had started the sale of admission on June 5, 2013. The last date for submission of completed application forms is June 19, 2013 till 01.00 pm.

As per sources, the four year undergraduate programme (FYUP) has not affected the reputation of Delhi University. In fact, with a range of B Tech courses on offer, many engineering students are trying for DU seats. The class 12 board exam scores have also been much higher this year, which may cause the cut offs to go higher.

Eligible candidates, who meet the requirements notified in DU's first cut off list, are required to complete their admission and fee payment formalities by June 29, 2013, till 01.00 pm.

The first cut off list is expected to go higher than 97 percent for most science courses in comparison to last year's cut-off lists. Last year cut off went as high as 97 percent for Physics and 95.33 percent for Chemistry, for the Hindu College. Economic (Honours) first cut off touched 97 percent in SRCC and varied among 95.75 to 99.25 in Hindu College. As per last year trends, the Delhi University 2013 cut off lists are by all means, set to go up this year.
