Ahmedabad: The online registration has been postponed for admission into engineering colleges, scheduled to commence from today i.e. on May 23, 2013. As per sources, now the registration will commence from Friday. In the meantime, a total of 15,900-odd booklets and PIN were sold to the students by the nationalized banks across the state.
In a statement issued by MN Patel, Member of the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) has mentioned the reason of the delay in the admission procedure. He said that the online registration has been postponed due to the fact that the analysis of the Joint Engineering Entrance Exam (JEE) scores sent to the state is yet to be completed. However, following the postponement, the last date for registration has been extended from June 3 to June 5. All students aspiring to get admissions into engineering courses can log on to website www.jacpcldce.ac.in to get themselves registered for the exam.
Furthermore, according to the officials since the central board HSC (science) results are yet to be declared. It is likely that the online registrations might be extended to accommodate all the students. Patel has also said that the students seeking admission in pharmacy courses need not register their PIN as they will be required to register separately along with students applying for medical and paramedical courses. Students will have to get separate PIN for admissions in the pharmacy colleges.
