ICAI to Hold Campus Placement Programme in Kochi and Jaipur
The institute of chartered accountants of India (ICAI) will hold its two days campus placement in Kochi and Jaipur
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), which regulates the profession of Chartered Accountants in India, will hold its two days campus placement programme in Kochi on August 13th and 14th and in Jaipur from August 16th onwards.
Over 5,000 candidates, who have completed their chartered accountancy are likely to participate in the campus placement programme. Several leading companies like TCS, Torrent Ltd, Evolutionary Systems Pvt Ltd, Vedanta Resources Plc, Bajaj Finance Ltd, ITC Ltd, Federal Bank etc will participate in the campus placement programme.
ICAI, through its Committee for Members in Industry (CMII), organises campus placement programmes at 16 different locations across the country. The programme is held twice a year in August-September and February-March.
Despite the economic slowdown, strong response from corporate sector is expected by the council. Ernakulam is the only centre in Kerala for campus placement programme and there was tremendous response from the industry as well as from participants in the last few years.
The campus placement programme enables budding chartered accountants to start their career on a high note and get exposed to managing finances of some of the large corporates and conglomerates. Moreover, the campus placement enables quick recruitments of newly qualified chartered accountants.
This programme will provide an opportunity to the employers to interact with newly qualified Chartered Accountants and recruit the suitable ones in their organizations. Chartered Accountancy firms may participate at one or more centres and recruit Chartered Accountants.
