Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, in partnership with the International Federation of Red Cross and Crescent Societies (IFRC), has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into Online Certificate Course in Disaster Management, to be offered in the ensuing session 2013. This one-year (12 months) certificate course is an introductory level foundational course of 20 credits broadly covering, Humanitarian Principles and Values in context of Disaster Management; Introduction to Development; Introduction to Hazards, Vulnerabilities and Disasters; Disaster Risk Reduction and Development Planning; Disaster Response and Recovery. The first online course will start in April 2013; however, the second will commence from September 2013.
