Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is all set to offer Master of Arts (MAH) Degree Programme form this year. M.A. History programme would be very helpful for personnel employed in various institutions concerned with history and culture (Museums, Archives, Archaeological Survey etc.), school teachers, employees in diverse organizations and all graduates who are aspiring to have a Master’s Degree in History.
As per sources, IGNOU has implemented a thematic approach for Master of Arts in History programme. MAH programme has been ingeniously developed in order to provide insight and knowledge of the prominent developments with transition stages in World History as well as Indian History. Moreover, deliberate efforts have been made to include all the latest research findings in the course material.
M.A. History porgramme will be available in both English and Hindi. The candidates who are willing to apply for the MAH should possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University. The course duration is two years; however it can be completed in a maximum period of 5 years.
