IGNOU Invites Applications for Master of Commerce 2013 Admissions

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi, has invited applications for admissions into the Master of Commerce (M Com) course, for the academic year 2013. The last date of application closes on June 15, 2013.

Interested candidates can download the application form from the University’s Website: www.ignou.ac.in. One can also obtain the prospectus and application form from Regional Centres in person for Rs 200 or by post by sending a DD of Rs 250 drawn in favour of IGNOU, New Delhi, to Registrar (Student Registration Division), Indira Gandhi National Open University, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-68.

The MCom Programme offered by IGNOU is designed to meet the expanding needs in Commerce education at all levels. It also provide necessary manpower to industry, trade, PSUs, Government and Private enterprises in the areas like Finance, International Business, E-Commerce and Accounting. The eligibility prescribed for admissions into the MCom progarmme is that a candidate must be a Bachelor’s Degree or a higher degree from a recognized University. The medium of instruction for this programme is both English and Hindi. The duration of the programme is two years. However, students can complete the progarmme in a maximum period of 5 years.

To get a Master of Commerce (M.Com.) degree from IGNOU, a student has to complete 12 courses. However, the student may be awarded with a Postgraduate Diploma in International Business Operations on completion of all first year courses worth 36 credits in one year and Master of Commerce Degree with specialization in International Business Operations after completion of all 72 credits in two years.
