IITTM Campus Coming Up at Noida


A new campus of the Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM) will soon be coming up at NCR zone. As per sources, the new campus will be spread across 10 acres of land area in Sector 62 of Noida. It is constructed at a projected expenditure of Rs 27.70 crore and will be inaugurated by Tourism Minister K Chiranjeevi on Tuesday.

IITTM is a self-governing organization running under the banner of Tourism Ministry, which aims to offer education, training, research and consultancy in sustainable management of tourism, travel and other related sectors. The IITTM-Delhi offers two-year PGDM programme in tourism and leisure. It has its presence across India with its centres located in Gwalior, Nellore, Delhi, Goa and Bhubaneswar.

Moreover, with an aim to encourage tourism education at all levels, IITTM-Delhi has collaborated with CBSE in order to promote tourism education at secondary school level. Beside, the centre has also been keenly involved in the designing of the tourism syllabus for the National Vocational Educational Qualification Framework.

Recently, the IITTM-Delhi was awarded with the prestigious 'National India Education Excellence Award 2013', by Time Research, for the 'Best Institute in Tours and Travel Education' across India.
