Jamia BA Course for IAS Aspirants Last Date of Application Closes on May 8

Jamia Milia Islamia University is inviting applications for admission into its unique BA Course for IAS Aspirants. The last date for submission of Application Forms for admission to the B.A. (Programme) in Jamia is May 8, 2013 for the academic session 2013-14.

According to a press release issued by the University, Jamia will offer a unique course of B.A (Programme), which matches with the new of pattern of IAS (Main) Examinations.  The B.A. (Programme) is a three years course spread across six semesters. In this course the students can opt for the combination of three subjects out of the four given subjects i.e. Geography, History, Sociology and Public Administration.

The IAS Exam syllabus (‘General Studies’ and the above mentioned subjects) and the B.A. (Programme) syllabus at Jamia Millia Islamia have many topics in common. Therefore, this course is an added advantage of helping students preparing for such competitive examinations.
Furthermore, the UPSC has also introduced a new paper titled “Ethics, Integrity and Aptitude” and interestingly in Jamia students studying in the BA programme take a compulsory paper in “Indian Religion and Culture” in the 1st & 2nd Semester which will equip them to cope with the newly introduced changes in the UPSC IAS examinations.
