Mangalore University to Hold Counselling for PG Admissions from July 15

Mangalore: Mangalore University will commence the counselling for admission to post-graduate courses for the academic year 2013-14 at Mangala auditorium on the university’s Mangalagangothri campus from Monday, July 15, 2013.
 
As per university information, the counselling for PG courses offered by the science faculty will be conducted on July 15, and counselling offered by the arts faculty and the commerce faculty will be held on July 16 and July 17, respectively.
 
On July 19, the counselling for the government quota seats for courses offered by the science, commerce and arts faculties will be organised. The selection lists of candidates who have applied for admission to various courses have been published on the official website of the university www.mangaloreuniversity.ac.in, as well as on the respective notice boards of the PG departments. Candidates whose names present in the selection list should attend the counselling as per dates mentioned.
 
As per sources, the centralised counselling will begin from 10 am onwards. The reserve list candidates will have to attend the counselling at 11 am. For the students in payment category, the counselling will be held at 3 pm on the respective dates. Candidates appearing for the counseling will have to pay the prescribe fees at the auditorium, while their original marks card, caste certificate and income certificate and other testimonials will be verified at the counselling.
 
Moreover, students from other states need to submit the migration certificates issued by their respective universities before the admission. Vice-chancellor TC Shivashankara Murthy stated that the admission process of students seeking hostel facility too will be completed on the spot and a separate counter will be set up for the purpose. Students may peruse through the university website or call up the respective post-graduate departments for details.
