A workshop on Reverse Engineering Based Manufacturing (Under TEQIP-II) will be organized by Osmania University, Hyderabad. The workshop is scheduled to be held from June 24 to June 28, 2013. The number of participants is limited to 30.
Interested candidates are requested to submit the scanned copy of the registration form in the prescribed format only through email to regaraj@gmail.com. Registrations will be done on “First Come First Serve” basis. A course fee of Rs 500 (Five hundred only) has to be paid in the form of a DD drawn in favor of The HEAD, Mechanical Engineering Dept, Engineering College, Osmania University, Hyderabad-7 payable at Hyderabad. However, the Industry participants should pay Rs 300.00 as registration fee.
The Course Material - Relevant course material will be given in the form of books and notes.

The main objective of the Workshop will be:
Reverse Engineering – need, issues (copy rights, patents) and problems
Product Design using Reverse Engineering-issues - Geometry-Product Assembly identification using GD&T (use of CMM). Surface finish measurements
Product Testing- Mechanical Methods (UTM, Hardness) and material characterization Techniques (XRD, SEM)
Geometric Product Modelling Product Process Planning - Product manufacturing using Rapid prototyping methods and some case studies implemented and demonstration of Rapid Prototyping
