Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET), Longwal, Punjab, has invited applications from eligible candidates for the SLIET Entrance Test 2013, also known as SET. It is a national level entrance test conducted by the institute for admission into the following programmes, to be offered in the ensuing academic session 2013-14. SLIET is a Centrally Funded Technical Institute (CFTI) with Deemed University status established by Government of India through Ministry of Human Resource Development.

- Certificate Programmes (SET-I)
- Diploma Programmes (SET-II)
- Degree Programmes (SET-III)
- PG / PhD (The institute offers M Tech, M Sc, MBA and PhD programmes in various departments)
Note: Admission to M Tech programmes will be made on the basis of merit drawn from GATE score (CCMT), whereas, admission to MBA programme will be made on the basis of merit drawn from CMAT-2013 score. Admission to M Sc programmes will be based on CUCET / JAM / SET.

How to Apply
Interested candidates can either apply online or offline, as per the following guidelines:
Online Mode: The candidates can apply online through website: http://www.sliet.ac.in/ or http://www.sliet.net.in/ and pay the required fee of Rs 1000 (Rs 500 for SC / ST) though Debit Card / Credit Card / Online generated Pay-in-Slip at bank branches. Separate bank charges applicable. However, before filling in the online application, candidates are advised to carefully read all the instructions available on the website.
Offline Mode: The information brochure containing application form for Entrance Test will be made available at various branches of Punjab National Bank (PNB), from March 25, 2013 onwards. One can obtain the same on payment of Rs 1100 (Rs 600 for SC/ST candidates).
