Gargi Launches Certificate Course in Mass Communication

New Delhi: Delhi University (DU) affiliated Gargi College has launched a new certificate course in Mass Communication, as part of its add-on courses. The college has introduced the programme for its own students as well as those studying in other DU colleges, including the alumni. The mass communication course will be a part of the career intensive courses offered by the college and will have six-month duration.
 
Gargi Collegeoffers an array of other add-on courses, in advertising and marketing communication, tally accounting, etc. Meera Ramachandran, Principal - Gargi College said that the college would soon start a postgraduate diploma in banking and financial services, owing to students’ interest and its relevance in the present day. She further mentioned that the college would also start offering certificate courses in Green Chemistry, Photonics and Technology for future as well, besides a course in Vastu Shastra. Moreover, the college would be starting an English communication course for international students and those who are weak in language, skills to develop their conversational skills.
 
Last year, a course in ‘Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow’ was started, in collaboration with the NGO Dhriti. The last date for applying to all the add-on courses is August 6 and the admission is on a first-come-first-served basis, for a total of 25-30 seats in each course. The college would organize an orientation for career intensive courses on August 12. Gargi College is likely to launch a B Sc in Maths (Honors) and Bio-Chemistry (Honors), among the core subjects, as well.
