DU Ties Up With HCL to Offer IT Training

New Delhi: Campus of Open Learning (COL), Delhi University (DU) and HCL Infosystems have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to offer Information and Communication Technology (ICT) training to students. The collaboration aims at producing a new generation of expert IT professionals who are well versed with industry perspective and possess practical understanding to become employable and productive.

As per the MoU, three six-month programmes such as Linux with Convergence Technologies Innovation, Web Development using PHP and Web Designing will be offered by HCL. The courses will be a combination of theoretical training and practical exposure for four months, followed by industry internship for two months. Registration for courses is on and classes will commence from next month.

Several short-term professional training programmes have been started by COL to make their students skilful. COL decided to start this proposal with HCL in order to make students industry-ready professionals who are ready to take on ICT industry responsibilities without any further training on the job.
