DU Applicants Clog Up Roads in North Campus

New Delhi: Delhi University (DU) applicantsclog up roads in North Campus with only four days left to submit common pre-admission forms and SOL also beginning sale of forms. There was a huge rush of DU aspirants on Monday i.e. on June 7, 2010, which resulted into traffic jams on North Campus.
 
As per sources, a total of 15376 forms were submitted on Monday. The maximum number of forms submitted was 2568, which were received by Arts Faculty. Until now, 70418 forms have been received by the university, while more than 1.5 lakh have been sold.
 

Furthermore, the aspirant crowd also bulged at South Campus with five counters and 10 rooms pressed into service for the admission process. According to Deputy Dean, Students' Welfare, South Campus, the lawns were full of aspirants and their parents till 2.30 pm. Moreover, about 1100 candidates turned up for personal counseling on the Monday itself.
