IIM-A to Organize International Conference on Management Education

Ahmedabad: The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A), in alliance with the Association of Indian Management Scholars (AIMS) is going to organize the Eighth AIMS International Conference on 'Management Education in 2020: Issues, Challenges and Opportunities'. As per sources, the conference is scheduled to be held from January 1, 2011, to January 4, 2011 at IIM-A.
 
According to an IIM-A release, Jayanti Ravi, Commissioner of Higher Education, Government of Gujarat will be the Chief Guest of the conference. The conference will be inaugurated on January 1, 2011, at 11.30 am by the Chief Guest, release added. As per sources, the conference will feature four keynote addresses by Prof T V Rao, Prof Anuradha Basu, Prof Indira Parikh and Prof Sudarshan Iyengar.
 
Further, sources informed that nearly 356 scholars from the US, Canada, UK, South Africa, Australia and UAE will attend the conference. In addition, sources told that total 68 sessions will be there in the conference. These sessions will see presentations of 280 papers on a variety of topics like Globalization, Operations Research, Finance, Corporate Social Responsibility, Business Ethics, Strategy, Marketing, Intellectual Capital, Quality in Management Education, and many other subjects, sources added.
