Srinagar: University of Kashmir has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Doordarshan at Srinagar. The MoU is signed with an objective to reach out to a large section of students with quality educational programmes.
According to the statement made by a University spokesman, the MoU states that 67 programs produced by the Educational Multimedia Research Centre of the university would be telecasted thrice a week on Doordarshan. The programmes include a lecture series for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Also, the according to the MoU, Doordarshan would charge no telecast fee.
University of Kashmir is a multi-faculty University, imparting instruction in a variety of subjects in the Faculty of Arts, Languages, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Education, Commerce, Law, Medicine, Dental Surgery, Engineering, Music and Fine Arts and Non-formal Education.
