AMU Collaborates with Colombo University

Aligarh: Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with & University of Colombo (Institute of Indigenous Medicine). The MoU is signed with an aim of strengthening & supporting the academic and research cooperation especially in the traditional Unani system of medicine.       
 
Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) registrar V.K. Abdul Jaleel and the Director of University of Colombo (Institute of Indigenous Medicine) Dr. R.A. Jayasinghe were the dignitaries who have signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), on behalf of their respective university.
 
The MoU will provide opportunity for both universities to co-operate and develop mutual interest for common growth. It will also offer a chance to develop individual contacts among scholars, faculty and students. Moreover, MoU intends at encouraging the association between both universities teaching and research activities, as providing them change to exchange their staff and students.
 
In addition, as per the MoU, both the universities will get chance to organize seminars, conference & workshop on general topics which have mutual interest. Besides, the MoU will provide the opportunity to addresses the issues related to joint study programmes, exchange of academic materials, sharing of experience, expertise concerning administration and management of the two institutions.
 
As per sources, on this auspicious occasion the renowned names from both the universities like Prof. Shagufta Aleem (Dean) Faculty of Unani Medicine, Prof. Tajuddin (Department of Ilmul Advia) A.K. Tibbiya College, and Dr. M.H.M. Nazeem (Head of Unani Section), Institute of Indigenous Medicine were present their.
