University of Calcutta, also known as Calcutta University, West Bengal, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into PhD (Doctorate of Philosophy) programme in French, offered in the ensuing session 2011. Admission will be made on the basis of candidate’s performance in the entrance test followed by personal interview conducted by the University.
Note: Candidates who have already passed UGC / CSIR (JRF) Exams / NET / SET / SLET / Teacher Fellowship or equivalent examinations are not required to appear for the written examination. They can directly apply for the interview using the same application form.

How to apply
Interested candidates may get the application form/prescribed performa by paying Rs 100 through a challan which can easily be obtained from College Street Campus (cash counter). The duly filled in application form along with requisite documents should be submitted latest by September 16, 2011.
