DTU Flooded with M Tech Course Aspirants

New Delhi: Delhi Technology University, formerly known as the Delhi College of Engineering, is flooded with aspirants for admission into its M Tech courses, to be offered in the upcoming session 2011.
 
Vivek Tripathi, the Assistant Registrar of the university (DTU) said that there is a considerable rush for the M Tech courses, this year. The electronics and communication engineering department has received the maximum number of forms, 832, he added.
 
Furthermore, he said that the other popular courses are computer science and engineering and software engineering, which has received 564 applications against 42 vacant seats. For MTech in mechanical engineering, thermal engineering and production engineering it has received some 440 applications.
 
According to the sources, the University has already received some 2,840 applications for its 17 M Tech programmes, which is around 40 per cent more than what it had received last year.
 
Once the short listing task is done, the list of the selected candidates will be published on the university’s website: http://www.dce.edu/ on June 28, while the personal interview is scheduled to be held on July 4 and 5.
