The highest salary offered so far this year has been 10.49 lakh per annum, which has been tendered to four students by a reputed MNC, whereas the average salary is around 6 lakh per annum, which is also slightly better than the last year's average of 5.5 lakh per annum. The maximum numbers of selections have been made from the field of Computer Engineering, followed by Electronics & Communication Engineering and Information Technology.
According to P. B. Sharma, DTU Vice Chancellor, DTU's strong linkages with the industry enables them to prepare the students beyond the prescribed curriculum and as per the future requirements of the industry. This is primarily achieved through expert lectures by industry leaders and participation in activities of professional societies’ chapters at DTU (such as IEEE, IET, SAE etc.). He added that the inter-disciplinary focus of engineering and promotion of team work for design, innovation and new product development at DTU, further strengthens the competency and caliber of their students.
