DU Agrees to Provisionally Admit Students for PG courses

New Delhi: Here is good news for DU aspirants! The University has put consent over admitting students for various PG (postgraduate) courses under provisional admissions. These provisional admissions close on September 30, 2011. The declaration was confirmed through a notification issued by University, recently.
 
The notification also stated that this provisional admission will be finalized only subject to submission of results of the qualifying exam latest by October 31, 2011. As per the sources, University issued the notification by considering the students’ plea, who were at the verge of losing their seats due to the delay of their academic results. 
 
The notice officially stated that candidates who are waiting for their qualifying degree results for exams held in 2011 are eligible for admission to various postgraduate courses for the academic year 2011-12 of DU. Admission will be made on the basis of entrance examinations conducted by the respective departments or faculties.
 
Moreover, it notified that students should only be allowed provisional admission to the respective courses latest by September 30, subject to the submission of the results of their qualifying examinations by October 31, 2011. This decision of DU has definitely given a relief to tensed students.
