DU Teachers Seek Help from LJP President Ram Vilas Paswan

New Delhi: Delhi University (DU) teacher’s delegation met Lok Janshakti Party national president Ram Vilas Paswan at his residence. The main motive of their visit was to explain the ‘catastrophic’ effect of the proposed semester system. As per sources, the delegation comprised of seven-member who presented a memorandum to the Rajya Sabha MP in the same context.
 
In the memorandum, the delegation stated that University examinations will be held in November. This will not give any time to teachers to train students on the basic concepts. It will result in large scale failure, especially of students belonging to weaker sections, the delegation added.
 
In addition, sources said that the LJP leader assured the delegation to take the issue to the Governments’ notice. He said that if the proposed semester system is not reconsidered. Further, he also assured that he would raise the issue in Parliament and launch an agitation against it.
