DU to Adopt Online Filling of Examination Forms Next Year

New Delhi: Good news for Delhi University (DU) students! The University is likely to adopt the system of the online filling of examination forms, next year onwards.

The University’s examination branch is working to produce exam forms online, which would make examination process more precise, competent, easy and speedy. Besides, the exam branch was planning to implement the procedure from this semester, but most colleges showed unwillingness. Therefore, the proposal is postponed for the next year.

RC Sharma, Dean, Examinations, DU, said that for this year students will be using the physical forms but the plan to go online is on and most probably be implemented next year. He added that the colleges were hesitant to apply the change from this year as they don’t have trained personnel for the process.

Sources said that the changes are being made due to the recent DUMET scam where the answer key for medical exam was leaked to students on monetary basis. Furthermore, a senior DU official said that the University wants to bring more transparency and accuracy in the system and making exam forms online is the first step of many more in the same direction.
