DU to Conduct a Common Entrance Test for BA Journalism

New Delhi: This year,Delhi University (DU) is planning to conduct a common entrance test for BA (honours) journalism course. All five colleges offering the course i.e. Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, Kalindi, Kamala Nehru, Lady Shri Ram and Maharaja Agrasen are likely to be a part of the test which is scheduled to be conducted on June 19.
 
However, the discussions on finalizing the modalities of admission are still on. The entire application procedure will be conducted online. As per sources, Maharaja Agrasen College at Vasundhara Enclave is coordinating the common entrance test in its debut year.
                                                                                  
Sunil Sondhi, Principal, Maharaja Agrasen College said that till last year, students had to run from one college to another to apply for BA (honours) journalism. He said many times, the entrance test dates of different colleges clashed because of which they even had to give up on their chance in a college. He also added that having a common test for admission will solve this problem.
 
Furthermore, he mentioned that all the five colleges offering journalism will be a part of it. He said that they have already conveyed the date of the entrance test to the university which is June 19. The application process will be online on the pattern of BBE, BBS and BFIA admissions.
