IIM-A & IIT-B to Organize Quiz for Students

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad (IIM-A) and Institute of Technology-Bombay (IIT-B) will jointly organize a quiz for students. Both the institutes have join hands in order to test the general knowledge of the students in the city. Later on, the best students will be selected to compete with students of other states.
 
As per sources, the quiz will be conducted at IIM-A on Tuesday i.e. on October 18, 2011. A total of 75 teams, of two students each, have registered online from the city; however, the quiz will also accept on-the-spot registrations from students at the event, which will begin at 3.00 pm. The quiz is open for class IX to college students and will be organized by quiz master Rohit Nair.
 
The quiz is organized as part of the 'Techfest National Open Quiz', which is an event of the annual science and technology festival of IIT-B called Techfest. The quizzes shall be held at Pune, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Guwahati, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Mumbai on different dates till November 6, 2011.
 
A student of IIT-B and media manager of Techfest-2011, Ronnie Philip has stated that students from Gujarat have always constituted a large chunk of participants in the Techfest. Therefore, they have included Ahmedabad as one of the quiz centers. He also informed that the winning team will be sponsored by Techfest to come and take part in the final quiz event.
