The registration for 2-Week ISTE Workshop on Software Development Techniques for Teachers of Engineering and Science Institutesof Indian Institute of Technology - Bombay (IIT-B) will close on October 21, 2011. This important initiative has been taken by IIT-B in order to work with Engineering Colleges in the country, to improve the teaching skills of their faculty colleagues in core Engineering and Science subjects.
This initiative has now become a part of the National Mission on Education through ICT, supported by MHRD, scheduled to be held from November 5, 2011 to December 4, 2011. Interested candidates, willing to attend the workshop, are requested to enroll online on the website: http://ekalavya.it.iitb.ac.in/eOutreachHome.do. The enrollment will be strictly online, and no other applications will be entertained. The online form contains a list of remote centers. Applicants are requested to select a center from the list, to indicate where they would wish to attend the workshop. The last date for enrollment is October 21, 2011.
The institute will publish the list of selected participants on their website on October 24, 2011. The selected participants will also be informed by email. The duration of the workshop is 2-weeks (5 weekends.) It will begin at 09:00 am on Saturday November 5, 2011, and end at 6:00 pm on Sunday December 4, 2011. Additional contributions from participants are required to be made within the following two weeks for certification. The venues for the workshop will be 22 remote centers.
