IIT-Kharagpur to Use LSAT Scores for Admissions

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has decided to use scores of Law School Admission Test (LSAT) for admissions into its three years Bachelor of Law (LLB) in Intellectual Property Laws programme. A senior faculty of the IIT's Law School said that LSAT-India is administered by Pearson VUE, the global leader in assessments and testing.
 
Furthermore, the faculty added that LSAT-India provides a standard measure of acquired reading and analytical and logical reasoning skills that law schools can use as one of the several factors in assessing applicants. As per sources, the IIT Kharagpur's Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law (RGSOIPL) has been established in alliance with the George Washington University Law School.
 
Moreover, sources also informed that candidates from India and abroad can apply for the programme. Indian candidates who are desirous to pursue LLB programme from IIT-Kharagpur must possess excellent scores in LSAT-India, whereas, candidates from abroad must be LSAT-global qualified, sources added.
