IIT Patna Initiates to Collaborate with US Universities

Indian Institute of Technology Patna (IIT-Patna) initiates to collaborate with the premier US based Universities in order to facilitate student and faculty exchange programmes. As per sources, the IIT-Patna director Anil Bhowmick is on a visit to the US with the purpose to attract brilliant research scholars to join IIT-Patna as faculty members.
 
Bihar Foundation's West Coast Chapter is supporting Bhowmick in his undertaking. Bihar Foundation's chairman Ravi Verma informed that Anil Bhowmick is holding meetings with high-level officials from premier academic institutes like University of California Berkeley, Stanford University, and University of California at Davis.
 
Mr Verma added that Bhowmick is also setting up partnerships with premier US institutions for exchange at the level of students and faculty members. He said under this partnership agreement, selected faculty members from IIT-Patna will work with a peer faculty member at UC Berkeley or Stanford University. They will exchange research ideas and teaching methods. The joint venture will also facilitate visits by California academicians to Patna and vice versa.
