JNTUK Vice-Chancellor Says Efforts On to Adopt Online System

Kakinada: Professor Allam Apparao, Vice-Chancellor, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK) has said that they were trying to shape the university as paperless, adopting the online system. As per sources, he asked the principals of engineering and pharmacy colleges in eight district regions, which are under the authority of the JNTUK, to perform all communications online using the website and the E-mail system.
 
Further, Mr. Apparao told the sources that the role of principal of a college is pivotal as apart from the administration, he has to look after the implementation of the plans formulated by the university. They also have to lead the students towards the research programmes utilizing the financial assistance received from the central government under the technical education quality improvement programme, he added.
 
Moreover, Mr. Apparao said that the principals also have to bring to the notice of managements all the correspondence received through the website from the university and strive for their effective implementation. Furthermore, sources informed that many officials participated in the discussion. The officials include University Rector K Satyaprasad, Registrar V Ravindra, Academic Director GVS Prasadaraju, Director Evaluations B Prabhakararao, NIIT Director Dr IK Bhatt, IIT Deputy Director Ganapati Pandey and JNTU Hyderabad Registrar Tulasiram, sources added.
