IIM Bangalore Hikes Fee for PG Programme in Management

Bangalore: Indian Institute of Management-Bangalore (IIM Bangalore), Karnataka, has increased the fee for PG (Post Graduate) programme in Management to Rs 15 lakh. Earlier the course fee was Rs 13 lakh for the two year course.
 
As per sources, the increase will be incepted from the ensuing session batch 2012-14. In addition, the fee amount will include tuition, library and internet fees, case permission royalty, besides the cost of course material, hostel room, service charge, medical insurance, personal accident insurance. However, the intake of students will continue to be 375.
 
Previously, the last fee increase came into effect two years ago with the then increase of Rs 1.5 lakh. However, the latest hike brings IIM Bangalore fee close to that at IIM-Ahmedabad, which has increased its fee to Rs 15.5 lakh for the coming batch from the existing Rs 14.45 lakh.
 
Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore, is one of the top management institutes in India. IIM Bangalore was established in 1973 and since then, the institute has evolved as a premier centre for management education and research in the country.
