IISc Bangalore Research & PG Programme Admission 2012

Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, Karnataka, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into the below mentioned Research and PG (Post Graduate) programmes, to be offered in the upcoming session 2012. Admission will be made on the basis of IISc entrance test, scheduled to be held on the mentioned date, followed by an interview, to be conducted at IISc.

Note:
  • Candidates must have passed CSIR-UGC NET for JRF / UGC-NET for JRF / DBT JRF / ICMR JRF / JEST 2012 / NBHM 2012 / IISC Entrance Test 2012 / GATE 2011 0r 2012 exam with valid score till August 1, 2012.
  • Appearing in the abovementioned tests is not mandatory for those who have been awarded with INSPIRE Fellowship award and those who possess Master’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / M Sc (Engineering) / MS / MBA (post BE/B Tech) and wish to apply for the course offered in the Engineering Faculty.
  • Working professionals of R&D Organizations / Industries and Faculty members from Engineering, Agricultural, Pharmaceutical, Veterinary, Medical Colleges / Universities are only eligible to apply for ERP Programmes.

How to Apply
Interested candidates may apply online only by visiting the official website of IISc Bangalore: http://www.iisc.ernet.in/. In addition, one can obtain the online application form and e-brochure by logging onto the following direct link: http://www.iisc.ernet.in/admissions/. Applicants (General / OBC) have to pay an application fee of Rs 600 (either online or offline). However, for SC/ST/PH, ERP and sponsored candidates, the application fee is Rs 300, Rs 1500 and Rs 600, respectively.
 
In case of online payment, one can use his/her SBI / Canara Bank net banking account or VISA / Master / Maestro Card. However, for offline payment, candidates have to download the SBI / Canara Bank Challan from the website and make the payment from any branch of SBI / Canara Bank throughout India. After filling up all the details including payment details, one should take a printout of the duly completed application form and send it to The Assistant Registrar, Admissions Unit, IISc, Bangalore, Karnataka - 560012, on or before the last date mentioned below.
