Registrations for AICTE CMAT 2013-14 (Second Test) Commence Today

New Delhi: The registration process for All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2013-14 (Second Test) has commenced from today i.e. November 1, 2012. As per the notification issued by the Council, the registration window opens from today and will close on January 2, 2013.
 
The computer based CMAT 2013-14 (second test) is scheduled to be held from February 21 - 25, 2013. The timings for the same will be 9.30 am - 12.30 pm and 2.30 pm - 5.30 pm at 62 test centres in various cities throughout the country. Moreover, candidates will get a choice of three cities for online examination in the order of preference. Allotment will be based on first come first served. Actual allotment; however, will be subject to availability of the slots in a particular city.
 
As far as eligibility criteria is concerned, all graduates in any discipline or Final year students of Graduate course can apply for CMAT online. The test fee is Rs 1200 (for General / OBC candidates) and Rs 600 (for SC / ST / PD candidates) + Bank charges as applicable. The fee can be submitted online using net banking / Credit / Debit card through website: http://www.aicte-cmat.in/ or through Challan generated online and cash deposited in any branch of State Bank of India.
 
AICTE has launched the National level CMAT for facilitating institutions to select suitable students for admission in all management programmes approved by AICTE since 2012-13. However, AICTE has now decided to conduct CMAT twice a year. According to the notification, the candidates who have already appeared in CMAT First Test (which was conducted from September 27, 2012 to October 1, 2012), may also appear for Second Test and better of two scores will be used for admissions for 2013-14.
