New Delhi: Heave a sigh of relief as All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, has extended the last date of registration for All India Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) - 2012 till January 22. Earlier, the last date of online registration was January 9, 2012.
As per sources, the action has been taken to facilitate the aspiring candidates and in the light of the announcement of Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra and some other states to adopt the new pattern of AICTE-CMAT for admission into management institutions.
After the inclusion of CMAT, it will be helpful for both the students and states, as this will enable students to seek admission in their dream colleges across all states. Further, it will be possible for the states to enroll meritorious students from all over India.
Candidates desirous of admission into management institutions can register themselves by visiting the official website of AICTE-CMAT: http://www.aicte-cmat.in/. To secure the first choice for date and city, candidates are advised to complete their registration as soon as possible.
All India CMAT was introduced by AICTE this year as a computer-based test being conducted only in online mode. As per individual performance, scores will be awarded to candidates who appear in CMAT. After the completion of the examination, two merits will be declared - All-India level merit and state-level (separate for each state) merit, as per the norms of admission set up by each state.
