UPSC Announces Civil Services (Main) Exam 2011 Result

New Delhi: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), has announced the final results of Civil Services (Main) Examination 2011, today, i.e. on May 4, 2012. The results (merit order list of selected candidates) are made available on UPSC’s official website: http://upsc.gov.in/. As per the notification issued by the commission, on the basis of the results of written part of Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2011, held by UPSC in October – November, 2011 and the interviews for Personality Test held in March-April, 2012, candidates with the Roll Numbers mentioned in the list have been recommended for appointment to the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and other Central Services (Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’).
 
A total number of 910 candidates have been recommended for appointment, including 420 General (including 21 Physically Challenged candidates), 255 Other Backward Classes (including 8 Physically Challenged candidates), 157 Scheduled Castes (including 4 Physically Challenged candidate) and 78 Scheduled Tribes candidates.
 
UPSC has a “Facilitation Counter” near Examination Hall Building in its campus. Candidates can obtain any information / clarification regarding their examinations / recruitments on working days between 1000 hours to 1700 hours in person or over telephone Nos. 23385271 / 23381125 / 23098543. However, marks are likely to be available on the website within 15 days from the date of declaration of results.
