The Department of Sociology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, will be organizing ten-days ICSSR Workshop on Research Methodology Course in Social Science. The workshop is scheduled to be held from May 28, 2013 to June 6, 2013. The Lecture presentations are scheduled in three sessions. The workshop will be organized at the Conference Hall of Faculty of Social Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. In addition, breakfast, lunch & dinner will be provided at the venue.
The eligibility prescribed for the participants is that the candidates should be Research Scholars in any branch of Social Sciences. The selected candidates would be informed by May 18, 2013 by mail/ telephonic.
According to a press release issued by the University, the Department of Sociology, Banaras Hindu University in association with the Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Delhi will be organizing a ten days “Workshop on Research Methodology Course in Social Sciences for ST/SC Research Scholars” from May 28, 2013 to June 6, 2013. This workshop is designed to impart knowledge on Research Methodology in the context of qualitative and quantitative research along-with training in advanced Statistical packages (including SPSS) across the various fields of Social Sciences. The workshop will principally follow the Research Methodology Syllabus designed by the ICSSR New Delhi.
Note: Accommodation will be provided to the outstation participants. Travel allowance by shortest Distance bus or train (sleeper class) will be reimbursed to the outstation participants as per ICSSR guidelines.
