Burdwan University Notifies M Phil Programme Admission

The University of Burdwan, popularly known as Burdwan University, sited in West Bengal, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into two-year M Phil (Master of Philosophy) programme in various subjects, to be offered in the upcoming session 2012-14. Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the written test, followed by viva-voce test, to be conducted by the University departments.
 
Subjects Offered: English, Bengali, Sanskrit, Hindi, History, Economics, Philosophy, Political Science, Commerce, Library & Information Science
 
Date of Exam
The written test is scheduled to be held on March 10, 2013 (at 12.00 noon).

How to Apply
Interested candidates may obtain the application form in person, from University Sales Counter, Rajbati, Burdwan (and not by post) on payment of Rs 450, in cash (on all working days between 11.00 am to 2.00 pm) on production of original or attested copy of mark sheets at Masters level. However, applications can also be downloaded from the University's official website: http://www.buruniv.ac.in/. In case of downloaded application form, one should submit the application fee in the form of a DD drawn in favour of The Finance Officer, The University of Burdwan, payable at SBT, Burdwan. The last date of submitting completed application form along with the DD is March 8, 2013. For more detailed information about admission, eligibility criteria and application procedure, candidates are requested to visit the University’s aforementioned official website.
