Delhi University has released the schedule for Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) election for 2013-2014.

DUSU Elections to be Held on 13th September

Delhi University on Monday, 5th August 2013, announced the election schedule for the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) 2013-2014. The last day for students to submit nomination papers is 4th September (till 3pm). The list of shortlisted candidates will be published the same day. The last day for withdrawing nomination is 6th September. The nomination papers for the DUSU posts would be available at the Delhi University website.

Elections will be held on Friday September 13, 2013 and the timings of voting are 8.30am to 12.30pm for day classes and 3pm to 7pm for the evening classes. The date, time and venue for counting of votes will be announced later.

The vice chancellor, University of Delhi, has appointed Prof. Ashok Vohra, Department of Philosophy as the Chief Election Officer, Prof. D.S. Rawat, Department of Chemistry as Chief Returning Officer and Dr. Satish Kumar, Deputy Dean, University Information Centre as Returning Officer for the DUSU elections 2013-2014.

The Vice Chancellor has also appointed the Principals of the colleges and Heads of the Institutions which are affiliated to DUSU as Election Officer for the conduct of Election of Office Bearers and Members of the Central Council of DUSU in their respective colleges for the current year 2013-2014.

DUSU elections will be conducted for the posts of president, vice-president, secretary and joint-secretary. The nomination forms for DUSU can be downloaded from the Delhi University website.
