JEE Advanced 2014 Date Announced

The Joint Admission Board of the Indian Institutes of Technology has officially announced the date of JEE (Advanced) 2014 for admissions to IITs and ISM. The JEE Advanced will be held on May 25th, 2014. The test will include two papers- the first to be held from 9 am to 12 noon, and second from 2 pm to 5 pm. The test paper will comprise of objective (multiple choice) questions that will test comprehension, reasoning and analytical ability of candidates.

The top 1,50,000 candidates (including all categories) in the merit list of JEE(Main)-2014 Paper-1 will be eligible to write JEE(Advanced)-2014. JEE (Main)-2014 will be conducted by CBSE on behalf of the JEE apex board on April 6th, 2014, in both online and offline modes. The paper 1 of the JEE Main will be held in both offline and online mode but paper 2 will be a pen and paper test only.

Eligible candidates of JEE Main should register for JEE Advanced online at http://www.jeeadv.iitd.ac.in/ after declaration of JEE Main 2014 results. Registration fees of Rs 2000/- for male candidates and Rs 1000/- for SC/ST and PwD candidates should be deposited through bank challan after the online registration. Female candidates are exempted from paying any fees. Overseas candidates should deposit 220US$ as registration fees.

The start of online application for JEE Main will begin from November 15th, 2013 and end on December 16th, 2013. The result of the JEE Main will be declared on May 3rd, 2014. The website for eligible candidates to register for JEE (Advanced) will open from May 4th, 2014. The registration process will end on May 9th, 2014. Candidates can download the admit card from JEE Advanced website in between May 10th, 2014 and 24th May, 2014. The results of JEE Advanced will be declared on June 19th, 2014.
