Aligarh: Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has decided to revive Hyderabad as one of its test centres for MBBS entrance examination 2010. The MBBS entrance examination is scheduled to be held on May 8, 2010. Rahat Abrar, AMU official spokesperson has said that after reviewing the present scenario in Hyderabad, the university has decided to revive the test centre there.
Earlier, the University had cancelled Hyderabad as a test centre, following unrest and disturbances there over the Telangana issue. However, the University has decided to add the city of Hyderabad in the list test centre cities for the MBBS entrance test 2010.
Aligarh Muslim University, popularly known as AMU, was set up by Sir Syed Ahmed Khan in 1875. It was granted the status of Central University in 1920 by an Act of Indian Parliament.
