Aligarh: Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) on Tuesday i.e. February 2, 2010 has decided to hold fresh entrance examination for post-graduate medical courses. The decision was taken after student groups alleged irregularities and a probe committee confirmed some shortcomings.
As per sources, AMU’s decision to conduct afresh post-graduate entrance test following the students' complaints about the entrance test to the MD/MS/MDS courses, which was held on January 24, 2010. P.K. Abdul Azis, AMU Vice Chancellor (VC) has set up a three-member enquiry committee to probe the allegations. In its report, the committee identified a number of shortcomings in the conduct of the examination. Mr Azis has ordered the entrance examination to be conducted afresh within the shortest time possible.
