IGNOU Commences Four New Vocational Courses

New Delhi: Indira Gandhi National Open University, prominently known as IGNOU, on Sunday i.e. May 9, 2010, announced the commencement of four brand new vocational courses. The courses, namely M.Sc. in Actuarial Science, Post Graduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sales Management, Diploma in BPO-Finance & Accounting and Certificate in Hospital Administrative Assistanceship, will be started from this year’s July session. The information was disclosed by an IGNOU official, on Sunday.
 
IGNOU’s School of Vocational Education and Training (SOVET) has already released the notification of admission to its flagship programmes. As per the announcement, IGNOU’s main campus will conduct M.Sc. in Actuarial Science, which will be a full-time programme. On the other hand, the certificate course in Hospital Administrative Assistanceship will be offered in select Apollo hospitals only. The last date of submitting the duly filled applications, for the courses, is May 31, 2010. The application forms can be downloaded from the official website of the university: www.ignou.ac.in. The prospectus of the courses is also available at the university’s main office.
