Raipur: The renowned IIM club has got its new member in the name of IIM Raipur. IIM Raipur came into existence after the establishment of IIM Ranchi and IIM Rohtak, this year. IIM Raipur plans to start its academic session on October 8, 2010. However, candidates for the first batch will be short-listed this month. The institute is being mentored by IIM Indore.
Initially, IIM Raipur will offer 70 seats for the two-year Postgraduate (PG) programme in management. The fees of the programme will be Rs 3 lakh per academic year. Candidates aspiring for admissions in IIM Raipur need to possess atleast 90% marks for general category, 80% for OBC category, 70% for SC and 50% for ST category, in Common Admission Test (CAT) 2009.
The list of candidates who have qualified CAT will be announced on September 6, 2010. The interview for the candidates will be held between September 10 and September 14, 2010. The final list of selected students will be released on September 25, 2010, as the academic year of the institute will commence from October 8, 2010.
