New Delhi: The gateway tothe league of premier engineering -Indian Institute of Technology’s (IITs), the annual selection test i.e. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) or IIT-JEE for this year will be held on April 11, 2010. Around 472,103 students across the nation will appear in the IIT-JEE tomorrow.
IIT JEE 2010 would be conducted in two parts, with both parts containing an equal number of questions. The first part would be from 9 am to 12 pm. and the second part would be from 2 pm to 5 pm.
The selection test would be conducted across more than 100 towns and cities all over India with about 40 centers in the capital. The zones into which the country has been divided for the exams are Mumbai, Delhi, Kanpur, Madras, Roorkee, Kharagpur and Guwahati.
The maximum number of students is set to appear from the Mumbai Zone is around 80,211 candidates. As per sources, 73,862 candidates appearing from Delhi alone, also, there has been an increase by 82,000 in the number of students competing for the 8000 seats available to study in the premier engineering institutes.
